The world largest historical warehouse

The Speicherstadt is one of the world largest historical warehouse complex which is located in the port of Hamburg within the quarter of Hafen City. It covers an area of 26 hectare and consists of 17 building complexes and each one reaches the height of seven to eight stories and the storage area dominates more than 300,000 square meters. For the past hundreds years, these warehouses have held high-value goods such as coffee, tea, cocoa, spices, tobacco, and, in recent decades, oriental carpets.
